In 2015, we have seen quite a few Chinese smartphone manufacturers entered India as their first destination to widen their market. In a couple of days, we are going to see another manufacturer ‘ZOPO’ to enter the Indian smartphone market. The Shenzhen-headquartered company started its operations in 2012 and was listed in ‘Top 10 Promising Mobile Brands in China’ list for the year 2014.
Today, the company has officially unveiled its first ever smartphone ZOPO Speed 7 in India. It was first announced in China along with Speed 7 Plus and the company’s first smartwatch in July. The company has partnered exclusively with Advantage Computers India Pvt. Ltd. (ADCOM) to sell the device offline and online across India.
The device comes with a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080) IPS display and comes powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-720 GPU and 3GB RAM. There is 16GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 64GB.
It has a 13.2MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and LED flash, on the front it has a 5MP front camera. The device sports a 2,500mAh Li-polymer battery that gives 10 hours of talk time and lasts upto to 120 hours on standby. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop based Z-UI
This device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers connectivity features like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPA/A-GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0. It measures 146.1 x 70.6 x 8.65mm and weighs 150 grams. It will be available in the colors – Black and White.
The device offers features like Smart Awake, Gesture Sensing, and Double Click Awake. It will be sold online via Snapdeal for Rs.12,999 and will be in stock starting from the first week of September. There is also another called Speed 7 Plus with a 5.5-inch display, but it hasn’t been launched by the company in India.
