Officially Launched
Oukitel U7 with 5.5-inch Display, Quad-Core SoC, 1GB RAM Launched for $50

We have seen some good smartphones at $100 price range like Xiaomi Redmi 2, YU Yuphoria, Lenovo A2010, Phicomm Energy 653 and few others. Even even yesterday we have talked about a $50 smartphone from a Chinese manufacturer DooGee. The Oukitel, which has launched Oukitel U6 with dual displays for $260, and Oukitel U10 with a fingerprint sensor for just $160.
Today the company has launched a new smartphone Oukitel U7 for just $49.99. The company will be offering the device for this price during its first flash sale while the retail price of the device is $69.99.
Usually, the phones with such a low pricing come with less than 5-inch screen size, but Oukitel decided to launch the U7 with a 5.5-inch qHD (960×540) display. It is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.
Coming to the camera, it sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera. The device is powered by a 2,000mAh battery.
While these are almost the same specs we have seen on other entry-level device, the built of the device is what makes the difference. The Oukitel U7 doesn’t look like a $50 smartphone and the back of the device almost resembles with the iPhone 6 and has rounded corners. On the left of the device, we can find the volume rockers and on the right it has a power button along with a dual SIM slot.
The device misses the 4G LTE support and offers other basic connectivity features like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPA/A-GPS, and microUSB 2.0. This is one of the best entry-level smartphone that can be recommended for everyone who can ignore the lack of 4G LTE support.
