After a long break, YU Televentures has launched the Yureka Black smartphone in June this year. Recently, the company also released the Android 7.0 Nougat update for it. Today, the company came up with a new mid-range smartphone called Yureka 2. The device packs decent hardware and is priced at Rs. 11,999. As seen with the other Yu smartphones, the Yureka 2 is also Flipkart exclusive and will go on sale during the Big Billion Days sale which starts on September 20th.

The smartphone comes with a unibody metal design and will be available only in Gold color option. It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with a 2.5D curved glass on the top. Under the hood is the 64-bit Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz and comes coupled with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM. There is also 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a MicroSD card slot.

It comes with a hybrid slot, where the user can opt for dual SIM cards or a single SIM card and MicroSD. Interestingly, the device runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box and the Android 7.0 Nougat update should be expected soon. In the camera department, the Yureka 2 comes with a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and an 8MP front facing camera for selfies and video calls. The fingerprint sensor can be spotted on the rear of the device.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, 3.5mm audio port, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. It is backed by a 3,930mAh non-removable battery that also supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device.
