Earlier this year, Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphones in India. Both the devices came with decent specifications and are aggressively priced. In just 2 months, the company sold more than 2 million Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphones in the Indian market. Earlier this week, the company teased to launch a new smartphone with a 48MP camera. Currently, the Redmi Note 7 Pro priced at Rs 13,999 is the most affordable 48MP camera smartphone.

The company will be launching the all-new Redmi Note 7S smartphone in India on May 20th. As of now, the company hasn’t revealed any more details about its upcoming smartphone. While the Redmi Note 7 launched in the Indian market came with 12MP + 2MP dual rear cameras, the same device in China featured 48MP + 5MP dual camera setup on the rear. We expect the company to launch the Chinese version of Redmi Note 7 in the Indian market as Redmi Note 7S.

While the Redmi Note 7 Pro sports 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, the Redmi Note 7S (a.k.a Chinese Redmi Note 7) uses a 48MP Samsung GM1 sensor. Except for the dual rear cameras, the Redmi Note 7S should be offering same specifications as the Redmi Note 7. However, there are also chances that the company might make a couple of other changes. We need to wait till the official date to get the complete details of the Redmi Note 7S smartphone.

The Redmi Note 7S will be coming with the same glass back body as the other two Redmi Note 7 smartphones. It sports 6.3-inch waterdrop notch display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the device will mostly come powered by the 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 260 CPU and Adreno 512 GPU. It will be backed by a 4000mAh non-removable battery and comes with a 5V/2A (10W) power adapter.

For selfies, it might stick with the same 13MP camera as seen on the Redmi Note 7 smartphone. Xiaomi also officially confirmed to launch flagship Redmi K20 smartphone in the Indian market. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform and is rumored to sport triple rear cameras. The company might reveal more details about the first ever flagship Redmi smartphone during the Redmi Note 7S launch. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
