Earlier this month, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 smartphone in China. It is the most affordable smartphone to come with a 48MP camera. Now, the company has officially confirmed to soon launch the Redmi Note 7 in the Indian market. While the company launched the Redmi Note 5 in India, it skipped launching the Redmi Note 6. Unlike the Sony’s 48MP sensor on the high-end Honor View 20 smartphone, the Redmi Note 7 actually sports 48MP Samsung GM1 sensor.

In China, the base variant of Redmi Note 7 with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage is priced at just CNY 999 (approx INR 9,999). The device sports metal frame with 2.5D curved glass on either side. It sports a 6.3-inch display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and waterdrop notch. It is powered by 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform featuring Kryo 260 CPU and Adreno 512 GPU.

Talking about the cameras, the Redmi Note 7 sports 48MP + 5MP dual cameras on the rear with f/1.8 aperture and a 13MP single camera on the front for selfies. The device also comes loaded with AI features like auto scene detection, AI portrait mode, and AI beauty mode. It kept powered on by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery which also supports QuickCharge 4.0 fast charging tech. Just like in China, the company will only provide only 5V/2A (10W) power adapter in India.

While it supports face unlock, there is also a circular fingerprint sensor on the rear. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, IR Blaster, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for the exact launch date of Redmi Note 7 in India.
