Xiaomi Redmi Go (Android Go Edition) Smartphone Leaked – Full Specifications

In the last couple of months, there are several leaks about the Redmi Go smartphone. It will be first ever Android Go edition smartphone from Xiaomi. While the company is yet to officially launch the Xiaomi Redmi Go smartphone, the complete details of the device including design and specifications are now leaked online. Xiaomi is soon expected to launch the Redmi Go in Southeast Asian markets.

There are already several Android Go smartphones in the markets including the ones from Samsung and Huawei. While Xiaomi already sells smartphones with cutthroat pricing, is interesting how the company will price its first ever Android Go smartphone. Talking about the device, the design and specifications of the device look similar to the two-year-old Redmi 5A smartphone. It sports a polycarbonate body with a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display on the front.

Under the hood is the older Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 308 GPU. It comes included with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. There is a dedicated MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage up to 128GB. In terms of optics, the Redmi Go sports an 8MP camera on the rear with f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP selfie camera on the front with f/2.2 aperture.

The device is backed by a 3,000mAh battery and comes with 5V/1A (5W) power adapter. While Google already announced Android 9 Pie (Go edition), the new Redmi Go still comes with Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition). It measures 140.4 x 70.1 x 8.35 mm and weighs 137 grams. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz, Bluetooth 4.1, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
