Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro in Red Color Launched in India

Update: (September 4th, 2018) As teased earlier, Xiaomi today launched the Redmi Note 5 in Red color. While the whole body comes in Red color, the front of the device is in Black color. It will be available only in 4GB RAM variant and will be costing Rs 14,999. While the device goes on sale today at 10 am on Mi.com, it also be available via Flipkart in the coming days.

Earlier: (September 3rd, 2018) A couple of months back, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 in a beautiful looking Flame Red color in China. Now, Xiaomi India teased to launch a new Red-colored smartphone tomorrow in India. We expect this to be the Redmi Note 5 Pro Flame Red edition smartphone. The Redmi Note 5 Pro launched in India is the same Redmi Note 5 which was later launched in China. Though there are a couple of changes, the design and key specifications remain the same.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro is the world’s first smartphone to come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform. It is currently available in Black, Blue, Gold, and Rose Gold color options in India. The device comes in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants and is priced at Rs 14,999 and Rs 16,999 respectively. Talking about the other specifications, the device sports a 5.99-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio.

There are 12MP + 5MP dual cameras on the rear and a single 20MP selfie camera on the front. It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery and came with MicroUSB 2.0 port. The Chinese Redmi Note 5 came with a USB Type-C port and fast charging support. Later this week, the company is also launching the Redmi 6A, Redmi 6, and Redmi 6 Pro smartphones in India.
