From the last few months, there are several leaks about the launch of Mi A2 smartphone from Xiaomi. The company is expected to launch the China-exclusive Mi 6X as Mi A2 for global markets. Unlike the Mi 6X, the Mi A2 will be Android One device coming with stock Android UI. Recently, the company has confirmed to hold the global launch on July 24th in Madrid, Spain. While there is no confirmation about the product, all the leaks and rumors point out towards the Mi A2 smartphone.
The Mi A2 Lite might have been the surprise on the launch date, a European website has leaked the images and specifications of both the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite smartphones. The Mi A2 Lite is the Android One version of the Redmi 6 Pro smartphone. After teasing from the last few days, the company now officially confirmed to launch the Mi A2 Android One smartphone on July 25th in Indonesia. While the global launch is scheduled for July 24th in Spain, there is no information about the India launch date.
While the Mi A2 comes with 18:9 display, the cheaper Mi A2 Lite will be offering notch display with 19:9 aspect ratio. Both the devices will be running on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Just like other Android One smartphones, the Mi A2 smartphones should also get two major Android updates (Android P and Android O). As seen on the Mi A1, the Mi A2 devices should also come with MIUI’s camera and remote app. Apart from these MIUI apps, the rest will be GAPPS with no other bloatware.
The Mi A2 packs the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor along with better cameras. On the other hand, the Mi A2 Lite will be using the two-year old Snapdragon 625 processor. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
