Last month, there are few reports suggesting newly launched Honor 9i (2018) to soon launch in India as Honor 9X. Today, the company has officially confirmed to launch the Honor 9N smartphone on July 24th in India. The invite also confirms Honor 9N to be the H9onor 9i which was launched recently in China. Last year, the company had launched the Honor 9i in India with quad cameras.
Now, the new Honor 9i (a.k.a Honor 9N) is a completely new device and comes with a different design. The Honor 9N will be coming with 2.5D curved glass on the front and rear. On the front, the device sports 5.84-inch Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with 19:9 aspect ratio. As seen on other mid-range smartphones, Honor 9N also sports notch on the top.
As seen on last year’s Honor 9i, the new Honor 9N also comes powered by the good old Kirin 659 octa-core processor. While the Chinese variant came with 4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage, we have no idea about the storage details of the Indian variant. The device also comes with a dedicated MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0.
The Honor 9N sports 13MP + 2MP dual cameras on the rear and a single 16MP camera on the front. It is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery. It comes with a fingerprint sensor and also supports face unlock. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
