Xiaomi is holding a global launch event on July 24th in Madrid, Spain. Though there is no official confirmation, the company might launch the Mi A2 smartphone on that day. Now, the latest leaks suggest the company to actually launch two new smartphones on that day – Mi A2 and Mi A2 lite. While the Mi A2 will be the China-exclusive Mi 6X, the newly leaked Mi A2 Lite will be Redmi 6 Pro smartphone.

The Redmi 6 Pro is the first smartphone in the Redmi series to sport notch display. Just like the Mi A1, the upcoming Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite will also be the Android One devices running stock Android UI rather than the in-house MIUI. As of now, there is no word on the pricing of these devices. While the powerful Mi A2 sports 18:9 display, the Mi A2 Lite will be coming with notch display offering 19:9 aspect ratio.

Talking about the Mi A2, the device comes with a 5.99-inch Full HD+ (2160 × 1080 pixels) display and is powered by Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor. It will be coming in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants with 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage options. On the other hand, the Mi A2 Lite sports 5.84-inch Full HD+ (2280×1080 pixels) display and packs good old Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Both the device will be running on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and should also get the Android P update once it is released. The device will also come with a rear-facing fingerprint sensor along with face unlock support. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details about the upcoming Xiaomi smartphones!
