Xiaomi has topped the smartphone sales in India recently, and this was indeed achieved due to its consumer base that are inclined to budget smartphones produced by the Chinese manufacturer. There are multiple options from Xiaomi under Redmi category below the Rs 10,000 price range. That said, the next budget smartphone from Xiaomi would be an Android Go phone, a new certification suggests. According to the new report, a new Xiaomi device bearing a model number – M1903C3GG has surfaced in the Singapore’s IMDA certification (Info-communications Media Development Authority). The approved certification reveals the Xiaomi’s upcoming device under Redmi Go category, which means it would be running the latest Android (Android Pie) trimmed version. The same model number bearing device has also been spotted recently in FCC certification as well.

According to FCC, the Xiaomi Redmi Go phone would feature a 5.9-inch screen with 18:9 aspect ratio and would be equipped with 1GB of RAM, which suggests that the Redmi Go would be catered to the budget segment with Android Go operating system. Google’s Android Go is usually the latest trimmed down version of Android running on low-end smartphones with standard specifications.
