After launching the Redmi Pro smartphone, Xiaomi is all set to launch yet another smartphone. Also, we have heard a lot of rumours about the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 lately. Going by the leaks, this device is shaping up really good. It looks like it will pack some serious specs under the hood and will be a fresh offering from the company.
As we wait for the device to launch, we now have some new interesting report about the device. It is reported that a new verified page for Xiaomi Mi Pro has been created on Weibo. Yes, sounds interesting right? Well, it is reported that the Mi Note 2 is going to be renamed as Mi Pro and will be launched by that name. Well, it is not confirmed yet, but most likely it is the case. So maybe whenever the device goes official, it will be launching as Mi Pro.
Talking about the device, we have some of the specifications of the device as well. It is expected to come with a 5.5-inch OLED display on the front. The smartphone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. It looks like two variants of this device will be launched, one with 4GB of RAM and the other one with 6GB of RAM. And according to the rumours, the 4GB RAM variant will be equipped with 64GB of internal storage and the 6GB RAM variant will be coming with 128GB of internal storage.
The device will be powered by a 3,700 mAh battery as well. As far as other hardware specs are concerned, there will be a fingerprint scanner on the front. These are all the specs that we managed to gather at this point. However, stay tuned for details about the device in future as we are nearing the launch date which is expected to be on happening sometime by the end of this year. Now, this info about the name change is quite interesting and makes us think what other changes could be expected.
