As we exclusively covered earlier, Xiaomi had officially launched their latest smartphone called Redmi Pro today in China. This is also most premium smartphone in the Redmi series. It comes with an all-metal unibody design and curved edges. It is the also first smartphone from Xiaomi to feature OLED display and dual rear cameras. Earlier, other smartphone brands like Huawei, Honor, and LG; now the but Xiaomi’s Redmi Pro will be the affordable device among all.
It sports 5.5-inch OLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the Helio X25 deca-core processor that comes in two variants with 3GB RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. The company also launched another version powered by Helio X20 SoC that includes 3GB RAM + 32GB Storage. It comes with hybrid SIM slot where users can opt for either a MicroSD card or the secondary SIM.
Coming to the cameras, on the back is a 13MP primary sensor from Sony and a 5MP secondary sensor from Samsung. For selfies, there also a 5MP sensor on the front. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based latest MIUI on top. It is backed by a 4050mAh battery that can easily last more than a day of mixed usage. The home button on the front also houses the fingerprint sensor just like Mi 5.
The Helio X20 version of Redmi Pro is priced at 1499 Yuan and the Helio X25 version costs 1699 Yuan for 3GB RAM and 1999 Yaun for 4GB RAM variants. Along with the Redmi Pro, Xiaomi also unveiled its first notebook called Mi Notebook Air. It comes in two different screen sizes – 12.5″ and 13.3″. It sports full metal body and is priced at 3499 Yuan for 12.5″ Notebook and 4999 Yuan for 13.3″ variant.
The Redmi Pro will be available starting from August 8th while the Mi Notebook will be on sale from August 2nd.
