Xiaomi’s Vice President Lu Weibing has shared some information via Weibo about the new wireless communication technology and Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G smartphone. China has started to allow 5G license to network operators before the timeline as 5G networks are getting mainstream. Lu Weibing has said that that 5G technology is moving rapidly and will be covered in all the cities by the end of next year but a specific date has not been mentioned.
Furthermore, the Vice President of Xiaomi has also mentioned that the prices of the 5G smartphones will be coming down to 2,000 Yuan (approx $291) by the second half of next year. Moreover, he also added that Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G will be launched in the Chinese market soon and will also be the companies first 5G smartphone that has been launched in Europe already. The device is priced at 599 Euros for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage which will be offered in Sapphire Blue and Onyx Black color options.
To remind you, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G will be coming with 6.39-inch Full HD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) display with 19:5:9 aspect ratio. To power the device there is a 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform comes coupled with Kryo 485 CPU and Adreno 640 GPU. There is a 6GB RAM of LPDDR4x RAM along with 64GB of onboard storage of UFS 2.1 flash storage. The handset will be coming out of the box with Android 9 Pie operating system with MIUI 10 on top and furthermore, the device along with Mi 9 is also a part of Android Q Beta program from Xiaomi.
There is a 3,800mAh battery and supports Quick Charge 4.0+ fast charging and 10W wireless charging support. The Mi Mix 3 5G supports dual SIM dual standby along with connectivity option like 5G, 4G LTE, WI-FI, Bluetooth v5.0 GPS< NFC and USB Type-C. Talking about the camera, there is a 12MP Sony IMX363 sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 12MP Samsung S5K3M3+ sensor. On the front, there is a 24MP Sony IMX576 sensor and a 2MP Omnivision OVO2A10 sensor. The device comes with a slider mechanism to slide down the display to use the front camera. There is a fingerprint sensor on the rear along with a facial unlocking system to enhance the security levels on the device. What do you think about 5G technology?
