Would you be happy if a gadget in your pocket can save your life? Recently we have seen Nokia Lumia 520 as well as Samsung Galaxy Mega stopping bullets and saving its owners life, now Mi 5 from Xiaomi has saved a police officer’s life when he was allegedly attacked with a knife. According to the reports, the smartphone was bent in the middle when the officer used it to block the attack from the knife.
Kevin Wang, who is the brother of the Police officer and also a well-known analyst, has posted the images of the smartphone on the popular Weibo. There are no cracks, or much damage can be seen from the pictures, in fact, the front side of it look perfectly ok without any damage or dents, but we can see a bend in the center.
Recently we have seen, Xiaomi’s upcoming model Mi 5C getting listed online with a metallic body and. It will be a cheaper of the company’s flagship Mi 5. According to the listing, the handset will be featuring Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution display. The device will be powered by an octa-core processor with a clocking speed of 2.2GHz, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
Xiaomi has also launched Mi 5S and Mi 5S Plus devices, and the Mi 5S will be the first device to sport an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and Mi 5S Plus will be coming with a dual rear camera. Both the devices are powered by the latest Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor which is an upgraded variant of the original Snapdragon 820 SoC. Both the cameras are equipped with 4MP front cameras while the Mi 5S has a 12MP camera with 4-axis OIS and PDAF, and the Mi 5S Plus has 13MP dual camera setup.
