As teased earlier, Xiaomi has launched three new budget smartphones in India today. The new Redmi 6A, Redmi 6, and Redmi 6 Pro were already on sale in China. Now, the company has launched these three devices in the Indian market. The Redmi 6 Pro is the same Mi A2 Lite which was launched alongside the Mi A2. The devices will be running on Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 9.6 out of the box and should get the MIUI 10 update in the near future.
While the Redmi 6 Pro sports Snapdragon 625 processor, the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A are powered by MediaTek Helio chipsets. These are also the first set of Xiaomi smartphones to come powered by MediaTek chipsets after the ban in 2015. All the three devices support AI face unlock & AI portrait. While the Redmi 6 Pro sports Aluminum body, the other two Redmi 6 devices come with the metal finish polycarbonate body.
