Xiaomi Launches Electric Toothbrush For Kids & Smart Tire Pressure Monitoring System for Cars

We all know that Xioami sells several non-smartphone related products in China. While it also sells socks and towels, now let’s talk about the newly launched tech products from Xiaomi’s subsidiaries. The ‘Smart Tire Pressure Monitoring System’ is a completely new product in the Mi ecosystem devices. The company has already a couple of electric toothbrushes in China, now it came up with a Kids-centric electric toothbrush. While the Soocas electric toothbrush for kids is currently in crowdsourcing stage, the car tire monitoring system is now available for 349 Yuan (approx $50 / Rs 3,500).
First, let’s talk about the Smart Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The package includes four tire gauge sensors and the main hub (receiver) that sits on the car dashboard. The users can get the individual pressure (in BAR) and temperature information of all the four tires. While it shows on the main hub, the users can also pair his smartphone using Bluetooth connectivity to get historical data wirelessly. When the car gets started, the monitoring system detects the vibration and will be automatically powered on from the sleep mode.
The gauge sensors are also mentioned to be theft proof and are also waterproof (IP69 certified) and lightweight. The receiver/hub comes with attached solar panels for charging and alternatively can use the USB port. It also shows alerts for an air leak, high temperature, and during high and low pressure. Taking about the Soocas kid’s electric toothbrush, it is priced at 169 Yuan (approx $25 / Rs 1,700) and will start shipping by the end of next month. It is made of food grade materials and is completely safe to use for kids who are 4-year old or older.
The toothbrush comes in a green color body with removable plastic panels with cartoon characters on the top. Soocas also introduced an interactive smartphone app which helps the kid to brush their teeth. The 2-minute video demonstration teaches kids how to use the Soocas electric toothbrush. Depending on the duration and frequency, the app also gives rewards for reaching higher levels. The built-in pressure sensor also alerts when the kids keep more pressure on the teeth. It is also IPX7 certified and can be washed directly under the tap. It takes 12 hours to charge fully from 0% to 100 % and gives up to 20 days of usage.
