Nokia X5 with 5.86″ Notch Display & Helio P60 SoC Launched for Rs 9,999 (999 Yuan)

After getting delayed by a week, the Nokia X5 is now officially unveiled at the launch event held in China. It is the second device to launch under the X-series and also the second Nokia smartphone to come with the notch display. The Nokia X6 launched earlier this year is the first Nokia-branded smartphone to embrace the notch display. While the Nokia X6 is set to make global debut as Nokia 6.1 Plus, we might also see the Nokia X5 as Nokia 5.1 Plus in the coming weeks.
The device comes with a glossy finish body and will be available in Black, Blue, and White color options. On the front is the 5.86-inch notch display with HD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The display on the Nokia X5 offers 84% screen-to-body ratio. The company also mentioned to include the “eye protection mode” that turns on automatically based the usage. Under the hood is the powerful Helio P60 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-G72 GPU.
It comes in 3GB and 4GB RAM options and packs 32GB and 64GB of internal storage respectively. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage. Talking about the cameras, the Nokia X5 sports 13MP + 5MP dual camera setup on the rear with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and manual mode. For selfies, there is an 8MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture, and AI-based beauty and portrait modes. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and will be upgradeable of Android P in the near future.
Apart from the rear-facing fingerprint sensor, the device can also be unlocked using the face unlock option. It is backed by a 3,060mAh battery which should last at least one complete day. It measures 149.5 x 72 x 8.1 mm and weighs 160 grams. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. Coming to the pricing, the Nokia X5 with 3GB and 4GB of RAM is priced at 999 Yuan (approx Rs 9,999)and 1399 Yuan (approx Rs 13,999) respectively.
