Xiaomi Launches AirPods-alternative for Just Rs 799 in China

Xiaomi today launched a new Bluetooth headset called Bluetooth Headset Mini. After the Apple AirPods are launched, we have seen several brands launching complete wireless earbuds. Now, the new Bluetooth Headset Mini also joins the list. Unlike other earbuds, this is a single Bluetooth earbud. At just 79 Yuan (approx $11.5 / Rs 799), it packs a lot of features. You can only find a single button on the body with the multi-control operation.
With the single tap, you can play/pause the music or answer/end the call. You can also double-tap the button to trigger the Xiaomi’s voice assistant Xiao Ai. This feature is only limited to Xiaomi smartphones running on MIUI 9.7.12.7 and above. It weighs just 4.5 grams and you might not even notice after a couple of hours of usage. The ergonomic in-ear design makes the Xiaomi’s earbud usable with both ears.
Unlike the more premium earbuds, there is no case to charge the Xiaomi’s earbud. However, you get a magnetic charging cable with a USB port to charge the earbud on the go. Talking about the audio, the earbud comes with MEMS silicon microphone and a 7mm strong magnetic moving coil unit. It connects with your Android or iOS smartphone using the Bluetooth 4.1 technology. It also waterproof, thanks to the IPX4 certification.
The Xiaomi Bluetooth Headset Mini comes with a built-in 40mAh battery. It takes one hour to fully charge from 0% to 100% and gives 3 hours of battery life. The earbud comes in Black and White color options. Xiaomi is also offering three different sizes of earplugs within the package. As of now, the new Xiaomi Bluetooth Headset Mini is currently on sale in China. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more detials!
