Xiaomi to Introduce its First Android Wear Powered Smartwatch

Xioami might be coming up with their first smartwatch, and it is alleged to be announced alongside the Redmi Note 2 Pro, which is scheduled to launch on November 24th. The event is round the corner and this leak coming straight from a notorious leakster, Leaksfly has doubled our excitement. Posted on Weibo, China’s popular micro-blogging site, if there is any truth to this information, and then this might be bigger news for smartwatch industry.

The Chinese mobile startup is known for its range of unique products offering, Mobile to Tablets, Smart TVs to Smart bands. Now it is about time that they announce their first smartwatch. Though, there is no concrete evidence that would give this rumor a strong push, but the track record of this notorious leakster is quite good.

The brand recently launched the upgrade to its smart band, aptly named Mi Band Pulse, which looks more or less similar to the original Mi Band. The new fitness tracker now houses a heart rate sensor and still priced at 99 Yuan while the pricing for the original tracker is reduced to 69 Yuan.

No details surfaced about the wearable that Xiaomi might be launching at an event happening in China on November 24th. The company hasn’t even specified that they would be launching Redmi Note 2 Pro, as the products are being kept secret. And we do hope that one of the products would be the Android Wear powered smartwatch from Xiaomi, which has been in demand for a longer time since Xiaomi first introduced its first wearable.

It is pretty safe bet that Google’s wearable operating system might be the only good option for company to launch a wearable with. And if Xiaomi nails the right amount of just important things on its first smartwatch, then it would be a tremendous success just like its fitness trackers, which has been sold in millions of numbers.
