In 2016, we have seen a few smartphones like Freedom 251 and Docoss X1 that are launched at a very cheap price of just Rs. 251 and Rs. 888 respectively. However, both these devices got international attention for their ultra cheap price tags but failed to reach the hands of pre-ordered customers. Now, we got a new low-cost Chinese smartphone called Cagabi One from a Shenzhen-based smartphone manufacturer, Cagabi Mobile. Though the exact pricing is yet to be announced, the company already confirmed it to cost less than $50 (approx Rs. 3,300). At Rs. 3,000 price range, we have Swipe Konnect 5.1 (Buy Now) and Konnect Grand (Buy Now) smartphones in India which offer basic specifications.
The new Cagabi One comes with much better specifications and will be shipped across the globe. It comes with a metallic frame with plastic body. The large circular camera module on the back holds the rear camera and dual tone LED flash. On the front is a 5-inch IPS display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution and 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection on top. The MediaTek MT6580A powered variant of the Cagabi One comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, whereas the other variant with MediaTek MT6737 processor packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and might come with a customized UI as seen other Chinese devices.
It supports dual SIM dual standby, and only the 2GB RAM variant supports 4G LTE connectivity. The Cagabi One is backed by a 2200mAh battery that might not last more than a day of usage. There is an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. Both the front and rear cameras are accompanied with LED flash. While the MicroUSB port and 3.5mm Audio port are placed on the top edge, the volume rocker and power button can be found the right edge. There is also another called Cagabi Two which might not be priced as affordable as Cagabi One. It comes with a Gorilla Glass protection on front and back of the device along with curved edges on both the sides.
The Cagabi Two smartphone sports a 5.5-inch display and might come with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There will also be a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. The main camera on the Cagabi Two smartphone features a 13MP sensor and an 8MP sensor on the front for selfies. Just like the Cagabi One, this device also offers LED flash alongside front and rear cameras. The complete details including the exact pricing and availability dates will be known in the coming days.
