Samsung had a tough time last year with the Note 7 phablet which made most of the people believe that the company will shut down the Note series altogether. However, Samsung came out and said that they would make Note 8 and now we have our first leaks out. According to the source, the next variant of the Note smartphone which is expected to make a huge comeback in the market is codenamed ‘Great.’ Yes, Great! Well, the codename surely makes it sound like the company is really putting its heart and soul to bring out something which we have never seen before with the Note lineup.
Apart from the Codename, we also have more info about the device from the source. It looks like the Note 8 will carry SM-N950F as the model number. However, this particular model number appears to be of the unlocked international variant. As you can see that the company is skipping the number 4 as expected since Koreans consider it unlucky and that is definitely not something that the company wants right now, at least with the Note lineup. But let’s see how that goes for them.
Talking about the Note smartphone, it looks like the Note 7 will be new life after all. According to the source, the company appears to be working on a refurbished Note 7 for the South Korean market. Not just that, it looks like it will carry the model number SM-N935 (Grace R (Refurbished)). This was a highly anticipated news since the company had a ton of components from the Note 7. In fact, even the Galaxy Tab S3 event at MWC was interrupted by a Greenpeace protester with a message to recycle those unused components.
As of now, it looks like there are no plans whatsoever to bring the refurbished Note 7 outside the home country, and hence we suggest you not to get your hopes high on copping a Note 7 in future. If at all there are any reports, then we will definitely update on the same and hence be on a lookout for that. With that said, let us now what do you think about the Note 8 comeback after seeing all that the Note 7 been through.
