VKworld VK700 Pro with 3D Gorilla Glass Display is the Latest Chinese Rugged Smartphone

The little known Chinese smartphone manufacturers are launching devices with unique features to stay focused in the world’s largest smartphone market. Earlier we have tested the UMI Hammer that was dubbed as the World’s toughest smartphone, with the dual Gorilla glass and Aluminum frame the device has withstood against great strengths. VKworld, Shenzhen based company has announced a new smartphone a called ‘VK700 Pro.’ According to the company, it can crack the walnuts and hammer the nails into wood without damaging the display.
UMI which gained some reputation for launching mid-range smartphones with much more cheaper price than the other competitors. The UMI Hammer has been a huge success for its rugged features. Recently the company has also announced update variant for Hammer called as ‘Hammer S.’ It is priced at $130 and offers fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C port.
It comes with a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720) display with a 3D Gorilla Glass on top of it. With the 3D Glass, you can experience the real life 3D without wearing a 3D glasses. The high strength to the device is supported by Aluminum frame and the Gorilla Glass on top of the display.
The device is powered by a MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. It has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion upto 32GB. There is a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
The VK700 Pro has a 3,600mAh battery and measures just 7.6mm thick. It is expected to be launched anytime before the end of this month. The device lacks 4G LTE, but offers other connectivity features like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0. The device is expected to be priced around $150 that can be competing with other low-cost Chinese smartphones.
