Micromax Bolt Q338 with 8MP Rear Camera and Android 5.1 Listed Online

Micromax has been aggressively launching the smartphones, last week the company launched Canvas Juice 3 and Juice 3+ smartphones with a massive 4,000mAh batteries. Earlier this month the company in partnership with MediaTek has also launched Canvas Fire 4G smartphone. Today a new entry-level smartphone ‘Micromax Bolt Q338‘ has been listed on the company’s official website.
The device sports a 5-inch HD (1280×720) IPS display and is powered by MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. It has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage out of which only 4.7GB will be available to the end user. It also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.
It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It has an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and autofocus; and a 5MP front-facing camera. There is a battery of 2,000mAh capacity that gives 7.5 hours of talk time and lasts up to 360 hours on standby.
The device supports dual SIM dual standby but misses the 4G LTE. Connectivity on this device includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0. The device supports 10 Indian regional languages. The Firstouch launcher comes pre-installed on the device, it give live translations to regional languages just by swiping on the keyboard.
It comes loaded with lot many bloatware apps like Chaatz, CleanMaster, Newshunt, SwiftKey, Snapdeal, Saavn, Quikr, Hike, and Hotstar. It also app store called ‘App Bazaar’ that comes in regional languages. With the official listing, we can expect the device to be launched in the next few days. Micromax has been battling with Intex for the second spot in the Indian smartphone market next to the Samsung. Intex has also launched quite a few smartphones this month.
