Vivo Y69 Smartphone Leaked with 16MP Selfie Camera & 3000mAh Battery

Vivo is teasing a new smartphone launch in India in September. We expected the company to unveil a new Y-series smartphone. However, a new device named Vivo Y69 (Vivo 1714) is leaked on the internet. It sports an all-metal unibody design with curved antenna bands laid across the top and bottom edges. On the front is a physical home button that also comes with an integrated fingerprint sensor. The Vivo Y69 runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat basedFunTouch OS 3.2 out of the box.

It comes with a 5.5-inch IPS display that offers HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the 64-bit MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and comes coupled with Mali T860 GPU. The device packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is also a dedicated MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage up to 256GB. It also supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE connectivity.  The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device.

In the camera department, there is a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture & LED flash. For selfies, there is a 16MP front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It is backed by a 3,00omAh non-removable battery that also supports 5V/2A (10W) fast charging. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. The Vivo Y69 also includes the in-house features like Smart Split 3.0 for split-screen multitasking and App Clone for using two WhatsApp or Telegram accounts.

Few leaks also suggested the company to launch Vivo V7 and V7 Plus smartphones. Both these devices will be the successor to the popular Vivo V5 and V5 Plus smartphones. Just like the Vivo V5 devices, the upcoming Vivo V7 might also offer selfie-focused features. These new launches are coming after the recent report of the drop in sales of the Vivo and OPPO smartphones. Both the brands have seen 30% drop in sales for the month of July in India. During the same time, the Indian smartphone market has seen a positive growth.
