Comio Enters The Indian Market With Three New Android Smartphones

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Comio has launched three new Android smartphones in India and all the three smartphones are priced between 6,000 INR to 10,000 INR. The company has launched the new Comio P1, Comio S1, and Comio C1 and they are priced at 9,999 INR, 8,999 INR and 5,999 INR respectively.
Talking about the specifications, each of the smartphones have a unique selling point are targetted towards a different set of people. The P1 smartphone which is also the most expensive of the bunch sports a 5,000Mah battery and is targetted towards the power users. It also sports 13MP rear and 8MO front-facing selfie shooter. The S1 smartphone, on the other hand, offers a 5.2-inch HD on a slim metal unibody. Other internal specs include 2GB RAM, 32GB storage, and a 2,700mAh battery.
And lastly, the Comio C1 is sort like an entry level smartphone which offers 5-inch HD display, 1GB RAM, 32GB storage and 2,200 mAh battery for a rather inexpensive pricing. In terms of the camera, we are essentially looking at a 5MP rear-facing shooter and 8MP front-facing selfie snapper. All these smartphones will be sold offline via the exclusively retails stores initially, however, the company will also sell them online within a few weeks. And if you are a Jio user, then you will also be eligible to get upto 20GB of additional data.
Earlier – The Chinese ODM manufacturer Topwise Communications will be entering the Indian smartphone market by launching the Comio branded smartphones. Last month, the company also announced August 18th as the launch date. Just a few days before the official launch, the Comio S1 and Comio P1 smartphones are leaked with few key specifications. The upcoming devices are said to be priced in between Rs. 6,000 and Rs. 12,000. They will be available through offline channels where the company faces stiff competition from established Chinese brands like OPPO, Vivo, and Gionee.
Another Chinese company, Transsion Holdings has already launched affordable smartphones under the Infinix and Tecno Mobiles brands. In the next few days, Transsion Holdings will be launching their third smartphone brand called VOTO. The Indian smartphone manufacturers like Micromax and Intex are already losing their market share to the Chinese brands. Talking about the Comio smartphones, the latest leak revealed both the devices to run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. As seen with the other Chinese brands, the Comio branded smartphones also comes with customized UI laid on top.
In the camera department, the Comio S1 and Comio P1 sports the same 13MP shooter on the rear and an 8MP front camera for selfies. Additionally, the Comio S1 offers front facing LED flash for better selfies even in low light conditions. While there is no information about the RAM capacity, there will be 32GB of onboard storage on both the devices. The Comio P1 comes with a rear facing fingerprint sensor, whereas the Comio S1 features it on the front. From the images, the Comio S1 seems to come with premium looking metal-built unibody design.
