Vivo Y15 with 13MP Triple Rear Cameras & 5000mAh Battery Launched for Rs 13990
Vivo launched a new Y-series smartphone called Vivo Y15 in the Indian market. Just like the other Y-series smartphone, the new Vivo Y15 also comes with a polycarbonate body. It will be available in Aqua Blue and Burgundy Red color options. The Vivo Y15 is priced at Rs 13,990 and comes with mediocre specifications. With the kind of specs Vivo Y15 offers, we don’t think it will be able to compete with the other smartphones in this price segment.
The device comes with a 6.35-inch Halo FullView display with HD+ (1544 × 720 pixels) resolution and 19.3:9 aspect ratio. With the waterdrop notch on the top, the display offers 89% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood is the 12nm MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762) octa-core processor coupled with PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The device comes packed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage further up to 256GB.
On the rear, the Vivo Y15 sports triple camera setup featuring a13MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, the device comes equipped with a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It is backed by a 5,000mAh non-removable battery but lacks fast charging support. it runs on Android 9.0 Pie-based Funtouch OS 9 out of the box.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz & 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio, GPS, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. The Vivo Y15 measures 159.43 × 76.77 × 8.92 mm and weighs 190.5 grams. Both the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge.
