In December last year, Vivo had launched the Vivo X6 and X6 Plus smartphones in China. Both the devices include high-end specs and are powered by MediaTek processor. Now the company has unveiled the new Vivo X6S and X6S Plus smartphone that looks same as their predecessors but are powered by Snapdragon 652 processor. The devices feature an all-metal unibody design with rounded edges.
The Vivo X6S and X6S Plus comes with a 5.2-inch and 5.7-inch Super AMOLED displays with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Under the hood, the devices are powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. There is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage without the MicroSD card slot. The devices still run on the Android 5.1 Lollipop with FunTouch OS laid on top.
As the company promoting them as Hi-Fi devices, the X6S is equipped with the AKM4375 32-bit DAC while the X6S Plus comes with Yamaha YSS-205X audio processor with ES9028 DAC making it better for Audiophiles. The X6S Plus comes with a 16MP rear camera, and the X6S is limited to 13MP sensor. Both the devices include PDAF that can focus in just 0.1 seconds.
On the front is an 8MP sensor with beauty mode for selfies. The X6S includes a 2,400mAh battery while the X6S Plus is backed by a bigger 3,000mAh battery. Both the devices support dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE. The fingerprint sensor placed on the rear can make the device even more secure. Connectivity on this device includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB 2.0.
The Vivo X6S measures 147.90 x 73.75 x 6.56 mm and weighs 140.5 grams and 5.7-inch X6S Plus measures 158.40 × 80.10 × 6.85 mm and weighs 172.5 grams. Talking about the pricing, the X6S is priced at CNY 2598 (approx $400 / Rs. 26,500) while the X6S costs around CNY 2,998 (approx $462 / Rs. 30,600). The device are available pre-order, and the shipping starts from April 5th.
