Samsung has officially launched three entry-level Galaxy smartphones in the U.S through AT&T & its prepaid service GoPhone. Among the three devices, the new Galaxy Express Prime and Galaxy Express 3 are exclusive for GoPhone. While the Galaxy J3, which was already available through few other carriers will be available on contract through AT&T. These are the best Samsung devices ever to be launched at their respective price ranges.

Samsung Galaxy Express Prime

The Galaxy Express Prime comes with a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection on top. Under the hood, it is powered by Exynos 3475 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. There is 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage that can be expanded upto 128GB via MicroSD card slot. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with TouchWiz UI overlaid.

It features a 5MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP selfie camera on the front. The device is backed by a 2,600mAh battery that is rated to deliver 222 hours of talk time and lasts upto 10 hours on standby. Connectivity options on this device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/A-GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It comes in polycarbonate body and is available in dark gray color.

Samsung Galaxy Express 3

The Galaxy Express 3 is almost similar to the above mentioned Express Prime but in smaller form factor. It comes with a smaller 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display compared to the Express Prime. The device houses a 2,050mAh battery that can provide upto 12 hours of talk time. Apart from those couple of changes, the other specifications are almost similar to the Express Prime.

Samsung Galaxy J3

It was first launched in the U.S through Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile in mid-January this year. As rumors suggested, the device is now made available through AT&T. It comes with 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by Snapdragon quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. In India, the same device was launched with quad-core Spreadtrum processor. With the 256 bit encryption and KNOX support, the device can be the best deal for businesses.

Apart from the processor, the Galaxy J3 comes with same specifications as Galaxy Express Prime. The U.S variant comes with a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera while the Indian variant came with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera on the front. Unlike the above mentioned device, it might still run on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box.

Coming to the pricing, the Galaxy Express Prime is highly priced device among the three with a price tag of $130. It is already available AT&T’s online and offline stores. The smaller Galaxy Express 3 is priced at just $80 and will be available starting from May 6th. The Galaxy J3 starts at a price of $5.67 per month for a total of 30 months under the Next24 Plan.
