Vivo X6 & X6 Plus with Super AMOLED display and 4GB RAM Officially Launched

As announced earlier, Vivo had officially launched the Vivo X6 along with a larger variant Vivo X6 Plus. These are first set to be launched under the new X series. The device comes with unibody made out of metal that accounts for 98.3% and the external antenna lines are of just 1.5mm thick. Both the devices run on Android 5.1 Lollipop with FunTouch OS 2.5. After several rumors suggesting the devices to sport 1GB dedicated graphic card and 3D Touch; the company launched the devices without such pathbreaking features.

The Vivo X6 comes with a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display while the Vivo X6 Plus comes with slightly larger 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display. Both of these devices come with Full HD resolution and a 2.5D Gorilla Glass for extra protection. Under the hood is the 64bit MediaTek MT6752 octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz is equipped along with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. As rumored earlier, the device also supports multitasking that can run two apps side-by-side.

The fingerprint sensor placed on the rear of the device supports 360-degree unlocking and can unlock the device in just 0.2 seconds. It also comes with its unique TEE trusted payment system that can also make the payments much safer. The Vivo X6 is equipped with 32GB of internal storage; the Vivo X6 Plays comes with 64GB of built-in storage.

Talking about the camera, it comes with a 13MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash, and PDAF fast focus. With the optimized OS, the camera app can be opened in 0.6 seconds and focus the object in just 0.1 seconds. It has an 8MP front-facing camera with wide-angle lens for capturing wider selfies. The Hi-Fi sound is provided by the AKM4375 chipset on Vivo X6 and on Vivo X6 Plus, it is taken care by ES9028 and ES9603 chipsets.

Vivo X6 is backed by 2,400mAh battery, and the X6 Plus comes in two variants with 3,000mAh and 4,000mAh battery capacities, and these devices also support twin engine flash charging that comes dual chip dual channel that increases the charging speed makes it more stable. It will be available in Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold colors.

The device will be available starting from December 7th and the pricing of the Vivo X6 and X6 Plus starts from 2498 Yuan (approx $390 / Rs. 26,000) and 2998 Yuan (approx $470 / Rs. 31,250). As of now there is no announcement about the launch of these devices outside of China, but we can expect the company to launch at least in few selected Asian markets.
