OPPO A53 with Snapdragon 616 SoC & 3075mAh Battery Announced in China

In the early November, a new OPPO smartphone named OPPO A53 is listed on TENAA. Today the company has officially announced the device in China. As seen with the recently launched OPPO smartphone, this device also follows the same slim design with the metal body. It is built out of the light-weight magnesium alloy with a matte finish on the back.

It features a 2.5D 5.5-inch IPS display with HD resolution and is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. It includes 2GB of RAM for better multitasking and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to a maximum of 128GB. The device runs on ColorOS 2.1 layered on top of Android 5.1 Lollipop. The device supports dual SIM with the included hybrid SIM slot. It is backed by a 3,075mAh battery that can last up to 300 hours on standby.

It comes with 13MP rear camera with LED flash and ISOcell technology that gives ultra clear quality images. On the front, it has a 5MP front camera with beauty 3.0 and other software features for capturing better selfies. The OPPO’s VOCC fast charging is also supported on this device with the provided 5V/2A power adapter. Connectivity on this device includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0.

The device measures 7.43mm thick and weigh 153 grams. The availability and the pricing of the device aren’t announced yet. A couple of weeks back, the company had launched the OPPO A33 that comes with entry-level specifications and is priced at $235. While the design of the device looks better when compared to other devices at this price range, it lacks the power in the specifications department.

Under the hood is the Snapdragon 410 processor along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It sports a 5-inch qHD display and comes with 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. The device is powered by a 2,400mAh battery and comes in White and Black colors. The device is currently listed ‘Out of Stock’ and is expected to be on sale by mid-December.
