Vivo U1 Launched with 6.2” Display & Snapdragon 439 SoC

Vivo has introduced its new U-series and launched its Vivo U1 smartphone which will be the latest entry-level offering. This new device will be the Indian version of the Vivo Y95 but with more storage option. Furthermore, the handset will come with similar design with a vertical dual camera setup on the rear and also a fingerprint sensor on the back.

The handset will come with a water drop notch with thin bezels. It will be featuring a 6.22-inch HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) FullView display with 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC which will be coupled with 3GB / 4GB of RAM options. The onboard storage includes 32GB as well as 64GB options which could be further expanded via microSD card slot.

On the camera front, there is a 13MP main sensor along with a 2MP secondary camera on the rear while on the front we can find an 8MP camera with AR shoot, Beauty mode, Panorama and more. It will come out of the box with Android Oreo OS based on the companies own FunTouch 4.5 OS and also supports dual 4G VoTLE connectivity. The selling point of this smartphone will be its 4030 mAh battery and it also comes with IP58 protection.

The Vivo U1 will be available in Starry Night Black, Aurora Blue and Aurora Red color option with gradient finish with different shades of Blue and Purple on the bottom. The device will be going for sale officially from 26th of February from Vivo online store for CNY799 (approx Rs. 8,500) for the 3GB / 32GB variant while the 3GB / 64GB variant is priced at CNY999 (approx Rs. 10,500 ) and the top end 4GB / 64GB variant costs CNY1,199 (approx Rs. 12,600).
