Vernee Mars to be the first P10 Powered Smartphone to get updated to Android 7.0

Android 7.0 Nougat update will be rolling out to most of the smartphones by the end of this year or early next year. You can check out our list of devices which are confirmed to receive the update to know more about it. While you wait for the update to hit your smartphone, it is expected that the Vernee Mars smartphone is going to be the first P10 powered smartphone to get the Android 7.0 Nougat update. It is reported that the Chinese handset maker has already initiated the adoption process for it’s existing line of smartphones.

The company also released a video which shows the Demo version of Android 7.0 on Vernee Mars. The video cleary indicates that the Nougat is running on the smartphone and from now on, the only thing is getting the update to the users via an OTA update. Earlier – The Chinese handset maker, Vernee had recently introduced three smartphones that came with decent specifications called as Vernee Apollo, Vernee Thor, and Vernee Apollo Lite. Now, the company has launched a new smartphone globally after several leaks and rumors, which is named as Vernee Mars. It has been listed on their official website and is priced at $249.99 (approx. Rs. 16755). It is now available for pre-orders on authorized online retailer stores such as efox-shop, gearbest and geekbuying at the cost of $229.99.

The Vernee Mars smartphone comes with a full metal body that has astonishing industrial design and Pure CNC technology. It sports 5.5-inch IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution that offers 401 PPI of pixel density and a 2.5D arc screen. There is a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection for scratches and smudges. This smartphone comes with a customized full in cell LCD that shows graceful integrity when the screen is off. It also used the sharp TDDI technology that gives a touch sensitivity to a great degree.

It comes equipped with an innovative side-mounted fingerprint sensor that is located at the right edge of the device that is for more easily your finger can go and use it. It comes powered by stock Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and ongoing OTA updates, which is continuously improved the user experience. Under the hood, it comes packed with a MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor that clocks at 2.0 GHz coupled with 4GB of RAM and Mali T860 Graphics. The Vernee Mars smartphone will be available in Golden and Grey color options.

Coming to storage on the device, it packs a 32GB of internal memory that can further be expanded via microSD card slot up to 128GB. This smartphone supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE network. The other connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 a/g/b/n, 2.4GHz / 5GHz, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, AGPS, Micro USB Type-C port, OTG support, 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It has a Gyro Sensor, Compass Sensor, Hall Sensor, Gravity Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor and Touch Sensor.

Talking about cameras, the Vernee Mars smartphone packs 13-megapixel autofocus primary camera with Sony IMX258 sensor and LED flash that can record videos in 1080p at 30 frames per second. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel secondary camera for selfies and video calling feature. It comes built-in 3000 mAh capacity battery with quick charge support; this can charge half battery in just 30 min. It is measured by 151 x 73 x 7.6 mm in dimensions and is weighing around 161 grams that include a battery.

  • Good, all androids released in 2016 must get Nougat update!

    I hope this one is not like Vernee Thor which is full of issues..maybe it is so because it’s their first device!
    I seriously doubt Thor’d get Nougat! Anyway they should first fix all the issues of Thor. 🙁
