OPPO to Launch Lamborghini Edition & 5G Edition of Reno Smartphone

OPPO will be launching new Reno lineup of smartphones on April 10th in China. Till date, we are expecting the company to launch only OPPO Reno smartphone on that day. The latest leaks suggest the company to also launch the OPPO Reno Lamborghini Edition and OPPO Reno 5G smartphones. During the OPPO Find X launch, the company announced its partnership with Lamborghini to launch the OPPO Find X Lamborghini edition.

Now, the upcoming OPPO Reno Lamborghini edition will be the second smartphone to launch under this partnership. With the OPPO Reno smartphone, the company will be introducing the 10x lossless zoom camera for the first time.  As showcased at the MWC 2019, the telephoto sensor on this device will use the periscope style lens. Even Huawei is rumored to use similar technology on its Huawei P30 Pro smartphone.

Under the hood, the OPPO Reno will come powered by 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 485 CPU and Adreno 640 GPU. However, only the OPPO Reno 5G smartphone will come equipped with Snapdragon X50 modem to access 5G network. Compared to other variants, we expect the 5G supported variant to come with a larger battery. Both the Lamborghini Edition & 5G Edition smartphones might also support 50W SuperVOOC Flash Charge technology.

Recently, the PCAM00 and PCAT00 smartphones got certified by 3C and TENAA. While there is no official confirmation, we expect these two devices to be standard variants as they only support 20W fast charging. The OPPO Reno smartphone will be available in 8GB + 256GB, 10GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB storage options. Coming to the Lamborghini edition, it will be launched with 10GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

The 5G variant will be available in 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB storage options. The OPPO Reno smartphone will be launched in Fog Green, Pink Mist, Night Black, and Nebula Purple color options. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details about the upcoming OPPO smartphones.
