Tizen Powered Samsung Z2 to Launch with Free Jio 4G Preview Offer

Last week we had posted a little information about the upcoming Samsung Z2 smartphone. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy smartphones, the Samsung Z2 runs on the in-house Tizen OS. Earlier, the company had launched the Samsung Z1 and Samsung Z3 in the same series. At the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 launch, Samsung Africa also displayed its upcoming Samsung Z2. Just like the other Tizen smartphones, the Samsung Z2 also comes with a polycarbonate body and from the images, it looks very thick in hand.

The same device is also listed on the support pages of the Samsung India website and the official launch can be expected in the near future. With the import data on Zauba, we also guess the device to be assembled under the “Make in India” campaign. Now the latest information suggests the Jio free 4G preview offer that was earlier offered for all the LYF smartphones and selected Samsung Galaxy smartphones will be also available for Samsung Z2.

Under the Jio preview offer, the users get a free Jio 4G SIM that includes unlimited usage of 4G data, voice calls, and SMS. The validity of this offer is just three months from the date of activation. Though it rumored to offered with Apple and OnePlus device, now the users of Samsung Z3 will be the latest smartphone to be sold with Jio Preview offer. It is a dual SIM dual standby device with 4G LTE support and offers VoLTE for HD voice call quality.

The Samsung Z2 (SM-Z200F) comes with a 4-inch AMOLED display and will be powered by a 32-bit unknown quad-core processor. It will include 1GB of RAM and kept powered on by  a 2,000mAh battery. Last years Samsung Z3 came with a 5-inch HD AMOLED display but was limited only to 3G connectivity. Though the device will be packed with several bloatware apps, there is a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage.

The device is expected to be around $60 and in Inda, it might be priced at Rs. 4,499. Currently, LYF is offering 4G VoLTE supports with Jio 4G preview offer with the LYF Flame 3, Flame 4, Flame 5, and Flame 6 that costs just Rs. 2,999. These are also the most affordable VoLTE smartphones available in the market. While the Samsung Z2 and Galaxy Note 7 will be launched on August 11th in India, the Jio 4G network’s prepaid services will be publically available starting from August 15th.
