TCL is a popular Chinese manufacturer that also launches smartphones under the brand name Alcatel. Today the company has launched a new smartphone called ‘TCL Pride T500L‘ in India. As seen with the most of the other Chinese brands, the Pride T500L will be sold exclusively through online via Snapdeal. It features some impressive specifications and also include an IRIS scanner for unlocking the device instead of passwords.

It comes with a plastic back cover with alloy frame covered around the device. On the front, it has a 5-inch OGS display with Full HD resolution. It is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot for expanding up to 32GB.

The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with customised UI laid on top of it. It is backed by a 3,050mAh battery that can easily last for a single day of mixed usage. There is a 13MP rear camera with EIS and LED flash, and an 8MP selfie camera that is also used for IRIS scanning. While the device supports dual SIM, the Snapdeal listing mentioned it as a single SIM.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It is priced at Rs. 10,499 and will be available in the colors White and Slate Grey. The recently launched Lumia 950 and 950Xl are the other devices that support IRIS scanner. It actually scans the Iris in the eye which will be unique for every other person on the earth.
