SeniorWorld Easyfone Smafe – A Phone for Older People Launched in India

These days the smartphones are becoming as powerful as computers in terms for both performance and productivity. While everything seems perfect, not everyone will be able to understand the usage of smartphone and in particular, the elder people in our homes does tend to use a feature phone than a smartphone. The easy-to-use interface along with the basic functionalities like Calls and Messages are what they expect, and the feature phone provides he same.

SeniorWorld had launched a new phone named ‘Easyfone Smafe‘ especially for senior citizens. It comes with all new interface that makes its unique among other feature phones. The ‘Photo Dialing’ feature on this device can make calls in with just one-click. You can choose between the contact names and photos to shown up for dialing on the 2.2-inch display. The backlit T9 keypad is well laid out with enough space for easy typing. The keys also speak out the number when it is pressed.

It has an SOS button on the back of the phone for alerting other family members and friends in case of emergency. Once the SOS button is pressed, it sends SMS and calls all the pre-selected five contacts. The SMS includes the details of current location, medical details and battery strength. It also triggers a loud alarm for alerting nearby people and auto picks the incomings calls if there is no response.

The phone includes FM Radio, music player, and a rear camera that also acts as a magnifier. The 700mAh battery on this phone can give 5-6 hours of talk time and lasts up to 15 days on standby. It also has a lock/unlock key on the side that can provide faster access to the phone. Along with the normal power adapter and charging cable, the company also included a wire-free cradle charger where you can place the Easyfone on that to charge.

It will be available in Black and White color options. For providing better after sales services, it comes with a free home pickup and delivery for the 1st year along with the manufacturer warranty. There is also a MicroSD card slot for expanding storage up to a maximum of 8GB. The EasyFone Smafe  is priced at Rs. 3,375 and can be purchased from the company’s official website and Amazon India.

The Philips Xenium X2566 and iBall Aasaan 2 are other feature phones that launched earlier to the Easyfone Smafe which offers similar kind of the features. Mitashi Play Senior Friend is the one and only Android-powered smartphone that was launched for senior citizens. The UI of the device is totally customized with large icons offering basic features like calls and messages along with SOS feature.
