Swipe Konnect 5.1 with 3000 mAh Battery & 3G Support Launched at Rs 3,999

The low-cost smartphone maker Swipe has launched a new smartphone called Swipe Konnect 5.1. As seen with the earlier launched devices, this device will also be an online exclusive device sold via Snapdeal. The device is priced at just Rs. 3,999 and comes with impressive specifications at this price range. Ringing Bell another Indian company has unveiled its latest smartphone ‘Freedom 251‘ priced at just Rs. 251. While it’s tough to buy Freedom 251, the Konnect 5.1 is already available in stock.

Talking about the launch of Konnect 5.1, Shripal Gandhi, Founder & CEO, Swipe Technologies, said,

The device features a 5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) display along with three capacitive buttons on the front while on the back is a sandstone finished back cover that gives a nice grip to hold on to the device. The pixel density of the display is at 225 PPI (Pixel Per Inch); it uses TFT technology. It is powered by a quad-core processor clocking at 1.2GHz, the maker of the chipset in unspecified by the company. Sporting a 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot, the device should offer decent performance.

In the camera department, it has 8-megapixel image sensor on the rear side with LED Flash and Autofocus support. The front facing camera module is of 3.2-megapixle resolution, which doesn’t have Flash to aid night captures. Regarding connectivity options, it has a 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and microUSB port for charging and data transfer. All this is powered by a 3000mAh capacity battery. It measure thickness at 9.8mm and weighs around 158 gram.
