Chinese smartphone manufacturer Sugar Mobile launched a new smartphone named the Sugar F7. We have already seen a couple of devices from the same manufacturer before. But unlike other devices, this is a little different. The Sugar F7 comes with a luxury treatment of Swarovski crystals. Yes, the smartphones have Swarovski crystals in the body.
So definitely, unlike other smartphones, this becomes the unique selling point of the smartphone. However, other specifications of the device also looks convincing. The smartphone is powered by a 64bit-enabled Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 (MSM8937) chipset. It has 4GB of RAM, which is nice to see, as many other smartphones in 2016 are equipped with the same. The device also comes in two variants with 32GB and 64GB internal storage respectively.
It comes with a 5.2-inch FHD display on the front with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Sugar F7 also comes with a 3,000 mAh battery to power that display as well as other internals, which should moderately last just about a day. On the camera side, we have a 16-megapixel rear facing shooter and a 13-megapixel front-facing selfie shooter, which is impressive. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0 and wireless LAN IEEE 802.11 b / g / n (2.4GHz).
This dual-SIM handset supports FDD-LTE / TD-LTE / W-CDMA / TD-SCDMA / GSM system. VoLTE (Voice over LTE) is available to achieve a voice call on the LTE network. The device runs SUGAR OS 3.0 which is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Version for software. Looking at the price, the 32GB variant of the device retails for about RMB 1,699 (roughly translates to about 17,000 INR) and the 64GB variant retails for about RMB 1,999 (roughly translates to about 20,000 INR). This is not the first device that we are seeing with Swarovski Crystals on it, previously Polar launched a fitness band with same crystals and gave it the luxury treatment.
This looks to be a fairly decent price for the device looking at it unique build quality and the specifications. This device is available to purchase in China. We have no confirmation about its availability in India and also the final pricing when it lands in India is unavailable. Stay tuned for more information as we will update the article once we have more details in coming days.
