Sony Xperia Z5 with Full HD Display, 23MP Rear Camera, Fingerprint Scanner Announced

Kazuo Hirai, President and CEO of Sony Corporation has officially unveiled the latest flagship ‘Sony Xperia Z5’ at the ongoing IFA 2015. According to the company, the 23MP Exmor RS rear camera sensor on this device can autofocus in just 0.03 seconds and also offers 5X ‘clear image zoom’ that you don’t lose the quality while taking the pictures while zooming. The Xperia Z5 is the smartphone with world’s fastest autofocus.
like the other Xperia Z series smartphones, the Xperia Z5 will also include IP65/IP68 certification for waterproof and dust tight. This is the first Sony smartphone to feature a fingerprint sensor. As rumored earlier, it comes integrated into the power button on the right.
The Xperia Z5 will feature a 5.2-inch Full HD (1920×1080) display and under the hood is a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 octa-core processor along with Adreno 430 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage out of which only 27GB will be available to the end user, but you can upgrade up to 200GB of expandable storage via a microSD card slot.
On the front it has a 5MP Sony Exmor R sensor for selfies and video calls, it can also record video in Full HD resolution. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Sony Xperia UI.
The device has a 2,900mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 support, it gives you 5.5 hours of usage with just 10 minutes of charging. Connectivity on this device includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS/A-GPS and MicroUSB 2.0.
It measures 146 x 72 x 7.3 mm and weighs 154 grams. The device will be available in Single SIM and Dual SIM variants and will be globally launched in October 2015. It will be launched in the colors – White, Graphite Black, Gold and Green.
