Sony Xperia 1 with 21:9 4K OLED Display Launched in China for Rs 63,000

Last month, Sony has officially announced to quit the Indian smartphone market along with several other major markets. The company is now focusing on just four markets including Japan, Europe, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. However, the company now launched the flagship Xperia 1 smartphone in China. The device comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage and is priced at CNY 6299 (approx USD 910 / INR 63,000). It will be available in Black, Purple, Grey, and White color options.
Talking about the specifications, the Sony Xperia 1 comes with a taller 6.5-inch AMOLED Display with 4K (3840 x 1644 pixels) resolution and 21:9 aspect ratio. It supports HDR playback and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The device comes powered by 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 485 CPU and Adreno 640 GPU. As said earlier, it comes packed with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
There is also a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 512GB. The Sony Xperia 1 is also the first Sony smartphone to come equipped with the triple camera setup. It sports a 12MP primary camera with f/1.6 aperture, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.4 aperture, and a 12MP telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, there is an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 84-degree wide-angle lens.
It also comes with the front-firing stereo speaker setup with Doly Atmos support. However, it lacks the 3.5mm audio jack for connecting standard earphones or headphones. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with Xperia UI laid on top. The device is also IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. It is backed by a 3,300mAh non-removable battery and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and Qi Wireless charging. Unlike the other flagship smartphones, the Xperia 1 comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
