Smartron tphone P with Snapdragon 435 SoC & 5000mAh Battery Launched for Rs. 7,999

Smartron is the first homegrown brand which manufactures smartphones locally in India. The company already launched two Android smartphones called t.phone and srt.phone. Today, the company launched its third and most affordable smartphone called tphone P. The Smartron tphone P is priced at Rs. 7,999 and will be sold via flash sales exclusively on Flipkart starting January 17th. It packs value for money specifications and includes Smartron’s exclusive features like 1000 GB of free tcloud storage.
At such a competitive price, the Smartron tphone P comes with a metal body. Talking about the specifications, it sports a 5.2-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with standard 16:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass on the top. It comes powered by the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 (MSM8940) octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. On par with other popular smartphones this price range, the tphone P also offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage additionally up to 128GB.
Instead of the latest Android 8.0 Oreo, the device runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box with tronX UI on top. The USP of the device is its mammoth 5,000mAh battery that is mentioned to give more than 2 days of usage. With the OTG support, the tphone P can be used for charging other smartphones. Talking about the cameras, there is a 13MP camera on the rear with f/2.2 aperture and PDAF. For selfies, it is equipped with a 5MP fixed focus camera with f/2.2 aperture lens. Both the front and rear cameras come accompanied by a LED flash.
The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers VoLTE and ViLTE support. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, FM Radio, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, USB OTG, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
