Samsung, one of the world’s most popular smartphone maker, is probably gearing up for its new Galaxy S10 launch for early next year. There’s also been a report earlier, stating it would most likely come up with a new 48MP camera sensor on the back.
Now, there’s a new report suggesting that Samsung would ditch its Iris scanner to make way for its new ultra-sonic in-display fingerprint sensor. The Iris scanner has initially been introduced as a secondary option to unlock the screen with Galaxy Note 7 (which we all know was a debacle).
The new report backed up a Twitter tipster called Ice Universe reveals that the upcoming Galaxy S10 would be featuring an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor contrary to the conventional optical fingerprint sensor, which we have been seen in the smartphones this year, OnePlus 6T, for instance.
The tipster further reveals that the S10 ultrasonic fingerprint sensors will come up with a larger recognition region (around 30% screen area) and is supposedly faster when compared to the optical fingerprint sensor.
Samsung’s new approach with its new upcoming Galaxy S10 is presumably worth a wait and it is also rumored that this new fingerprint scanner would be exclusive for the S10 and S10 Plus smartphones for a while,
