At the upcoming MWC event, Samsung won’t be launching their flagship Galaxy S8 smartphone. Instead, the company is teasing the launch of a premium Android tablet called Galaxy Tab S3. Apart from the tablet, the might also launch affordable smartphones. Samsung had trademarked the Galaxy J7 Sky Pro and Galaxy J3 Luna Pro names in the U.S. As of now, there is no more information apart from the name of the device. Recently, the company launched the Galaxy J3 Emerge (a.k.a Galaxy J3 2017) in the U.S. In India, the company came up the Galaxy J3 2016 and Galaxy J3 Pro smartphones with almost similar specifications.
The Galaxy J3 Luna Pro might also come with the entry-level specifications sporting polycarbonate shell. Last month, Samsung launched the Galaxy J1 4G and Galaxy J2 Ace smartphones in India. The Galaxy J1 4G features a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display with WVGA resolution. It is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The device sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera for selfies. It is backed by a 2,050mAh battery and includes the Ultra Power Saving mode.
On the other hand, the Galaxy J2 Ace comes with a 5-inch qHD display and a 1.4GHz quad-core processor. There is 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot. In the camera department, there is an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Both these cameras are assisted by LED flash for capturing selfie in low light conditions. Both the devices support dual SIM dual standby and offer 4G VoLTE connectivity. While the Galaxy J1 4G runs on years old Android 5.1 Lollipop, the Galaxy J2 Ace at least come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Both the Galaxy J1 4G and Galaxy J2 Ace are currently retailing at Rs. 6,890 and Rs. 8,490 respectively. Even the Galaxy J7 Sky Pro and Galaxy J3 Luna Pro might offer 4G VoLTE connectivity for accessing faster data speeds and HD voice calls. The Samsung’s exclusive features like Ultra Power Saving mode (UPS), Ultra Data Saving mode (UDS) and S-Bike mode might also be introduced with the two upcoming smartphones.
