Samsung to Launch New Galaxy On Smartphone with Infinity Display on July 2nd

Earlier this week, Samsung is rumored to launch a new Galaxy On smartphone with Infinity display in the first week of July. Today, the company has officially confirmed to launch its new smartphone in India at 12:30 pm on July 2nd. The new Galaxy On smartphone will be sold online exclusively via Flipkart. It will be the first On-series smartphone to come with Super AMOLED Infinity display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio.

Recently, the company also launched the Galaxy J6, Galaxy J8, Galaxy A6, and Galaxy A6+ smartphones with Super AMOLED Infinity display. With the upcoming Galaxy On smartphone, we expect the company to offers HD+ (1480 x 720 pixels) resolution. From the teaser videos, the device looks similar to the 2018 Galaxy J6 and J8 smartphones. While power button and loudspeaker are placed on the right edge, the volume rocker and SIM card are on the left edge.

On the rear, we can spot single rear camera with LED flash. Just below the rear camera is the rectangular fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, we expect the company to uses its in-house Exynos octa-core processor. The Galaxy J8 (2018) which went on sale earlier today came with the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. It is priced at Rs. 18,990 and came with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

The device sports 16MP + 5MP dual rear cameras with f/1.7 aperture & a 16MP front-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture. As of now, there is no information about the specifications of the upcoming Galaxy On smartphone. As the launch date is less than a week away, we can expect to see a few leaks in the coming days.
