A couple of months back, Samsung had launched one of the huge tablets called ‘Galaxy View‘ with a screen size of 18.6-inches. The Galaxy View cannot be an alternative for any other 7-inch tablet instead it is more like an entertainment device. Now a new tablet from Samsung with a 12-inch screen size has received Bluetooth and Wi-Fi certifications suggesting the possible launch in the near time.
The tablet with model number SM-W700 indeed runs on the Windows 10 OS making it the first ever tablet from a major manufacturer to run on the latest Windows OS. Based on the certification pages, the 12-inch display with 2560 x 1600 or 3840 x 2400 pixel resolution.
In August this year, there are few rumors about the launch of this same tablet and that too with almost same specifications. Even though the Galaxy View came with a large display, the it featured mid-range specifications, but this 12-inch tablet might feature some high-end specifications.
Under the hood, the tablet will be powered by the Intel Core M processor built on the 14nm process along with 4GB RAM. It is expected to weigh almost 600 grams but stays slim by measuring just 6.2mm. If the rumors are to be believed, the tablet also comes with S-Pen that gives more additional features built over Window 10 OS.
The Wi-Fi certification reveals the tablet to support Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac while the Bluetooth certification suggests supporting Bluetooth 4.1. According to the Zauba listing, this same tablet was imported to India for testing purpose and price of it is mentioned as Rs. 30,088.
From this, we can expect this 12-inch tablet to cost more than Rs.40,000 (approx $600) at the time of launch. Samsung had already confirmed its presence at te upcoming CES 2016, where they will be launching the Galaxy A9 (2016), and now we also believe to have some information about this tablet at the same event. Stay tuned for more information in the coming days!
