Leaked Microsoft Lumia 850 Cases Confirms the Earlier Rumoured Design

Update – At the beginning of this month, we got some glimpse about the upcoming Lumia 850 that was also dubbed as the slimmest ever Lumia device measuring just 6.92mm. Now there are few images of a couple of cases of Lumia 850 that confirms the device to look same as the earlier leaked images. It will be available in the different colors like Blue, White, Black and few others. As per the rumors, the device might also come with a gold colored metal frame.

The device is expected to sport front-facing LED flash and a small round shaped stereo speaker on the bottom rear of the device. Though the device is rumored to be launched by the end of this year, which seems impossible at this stage and we can see the official launch sometime in January. Recently the company had launched the Lumia 550, the most affordable 4G LTE smartphone priced at Rs. 9,399.

Earlier: Dec 5th, 2015 – The Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL are officially unveiled a couple of months ago and are already available in most of the global markets. Now the renders of a Lumia 850 smartphone are leaked by the reliable leakster Onleaks. In July 2015, the specifications of the Lumia 850 along with Lumia 550 and Lumia 750 are leaked. While there are no major changes in the overall design of the device, we can find the metal frame around the device with polycarbonate back cover.

It measures 115.9 x 77.23 x 6.92 mm, which makes the Lumia 850 one of the slimmest Lumia smartphones till date. The 3.5mm audio port is placed on the bottom edge while the MicroUSB 2.0 port is placed on the top edge of the device. Since the Lumia 950 and 950XL came with USB Type-C port, we also expected this device to follow that.

The device will be available in Gold color variant sporting gold colored metal frame and a golden Microsoft logo on the back. There is no visible speaker on the device and the small circular black spot on the bottom rear part might the stereo speaker. Coming to the rumored specifications, the device will be powered by Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 306 GPU and 1GB of RAM.

It has a 16GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot. Both the front and rear cameras will be accompanied by an LED flash. It runs on latest Windows 10 OS with 4G LTE connectivity. While there is no official information from the company about the Lumia 850 take this information with a pinch of salt. The affordable Lumia 550 that was unveiled alongside the flagships Lumia 950 and 950XL.
