Earlier this year, Gionee had launched the new F series of smartphones that comes with a premium design with the metallic finish but with an affordable price tag. We had exclusively reported about the Gionee F103, the first smartphone launched under this new series. The company also started manufacturing in India starting with this same device. Now a new device by the name Gionee F105 is now listed on TENAA.

This will be the third device under the F series, where the Gionee F303 is the second device. Though we expected the device to be launched in India, in his latest interview given to us, William Lu, President of Gionee had confirmed that the device will not be launched in India. Talking about the Gionee F105, it comes with an all metal body and sports decent entry-level specifications.

It features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) IPS display and is powered by an unknown quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, we expect it to be from MediaTek as seen with the earlier Gionee devices. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Gionee’s Amigo UI overlaid. There is 2GB of RAM for multitasking between the apps and playing graphic intensive games.

The device comes with 16GB of on-board storage that can further expandable upto 128GB via MicroSD card slot. It has an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and autofocus, and a 5MP camera on the front for capturing selfies. The Gionee F105 also supports dual SIM dual standby and offers connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0 port.

It is backed by a 2,400mAh non-removable battery that can at least last for a single day of usage. The device measures 144 x 71.3 x 8.1 mm and feels slightly heavy by weighing 155 grams. It will be available in White and Gold colors options, and there is no information about the launch date. Last week the company had officially unveiled the successor for the popular Marathon M5 called Marathon M5 Plus with a fingerprint sensor.

Comparing to M5, M5 Plus comes with a smaller 5,020mAh battery but sports larger 1080 display along with few other better specifications. The M5 Enjoy edition is the smallest among the M5 series devices that include a fingerprint sensor but features not so high-end specs.
