Samsung Gear Solo SmartWatch with Expected SIM Connectivity Spotted – Details
Samsung has released Smart watches that can do everything your Smartphone can do, but they can not do it on their own, which I must say is till now. As Samsung is planning to release a Smart watch which does not need the connectivity with a Bluetooth device, but can function on its own as a Smartwatch with phone functionality.
It means that you do not need to connect your watch to your smart phone via Bluetooth that means that you will be wearing your phone on your wrist. It is aptly named as Samsung Gear 2 SOLO because of the potential for it to function alone without the need of a Smartphone.
We have found the Gear 2 Solo on the Import list site Zauba the image of which you can see below mentioning the code name of the device as SM-R710 and named as Gear 2 Solo.
Gear 2 Solo or I must say Samsung Gear SOLO will be having an embedded SIM in the device and an antenna like in Smartphones to act as a network receiver making it possible to make calls, and receive messages and use internet directly on your Smart watch as you could do on your mobile phone.
In the Indian Import Site Zauba, the Pricing of the Imported device was given as Rs. 12,292 which is being Imported from South Korea to Bangalore, but the retail pricing will not be anywhere near this pricing if you think it is very cheap.
The listing also mentions the purpose of the import as (For R & D) meaning Research and Development so my guess is that this device will not be released anytime soon in the market as there is no news from Samsung as well about the Plans of launching the device globally or in India as well at the moment.
According to sources Samsung Gear SOLO will first be available in South Korea and later will be released all around the world and the date for which is also not confirmed by Samsung.
