Samsung Galaxy Tab S5 to Reportedly Launch Alongside Galaxy Note 10

Samsung will be launching the Galaxy Note 10 smartphone in the second half of this year. According to the latest report, the company might also launch the high-end Galaxy Tab S5 tablet alongside the new Galaxy Note smartphone. The Galaxy Tab S5 will be coming with the model numbers SM-T860 and SM-T865. Last year, the Galaxy Tab S4 was launched a few weeks ahead of the Galaxy Note 9 launch. At the beginning of this year, Samsung launched the cheaper Galaxy Tab S5e tablet.

Unlike the premium Galaxy tablet, the Tab S5e lacks the S Pen support. However, it still came with Super AMOLED display with WQXGA resolution, quad speakers, and DeX support. With the upcoming Galaxy Tab S5, we expect it to offer the same full-screen experience as its successor but with higher screen-to-body ratio. Last year’s Galaxy Tab S4 came with a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with WQXGA (2560×1600 pixels) resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio.

It came powered by the older Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform. The tablet was made available in 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 256GB storage options. Talking about the cameras, the Galaxy Tab S4 sports 13MP camera on the rear and a 5MP camera on the front. It also came with an IRIS scanner to offer secure face unlock. The Galaxy Tab S4 is equipped with quad speaker setup tuned by AKG and supports Dolby Atmos surround sound technology.

The tablet is backed by a 7,300mAh battery and also supports fast charging. In India, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is priced at Rs 57,900. With the upcoming Galaxy Tab S5, we hope the company opts for the latest Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
